Topshop's so called 'capsule' collection , Unique, just had an unexpected twist today at the London Fashion Week.
In fact, Topshop's unfamous funky , non-chic, uber-themed Lady Gaga-like shows sees his Unique fall runway go minimal. Shapes, colours are all grown up and high fashion. What happened?
It is clear that under Kate Phelan, the new creative control of the brand, Unique is turning sophisticated. Fall collection is mixing whole new textures, patterns, colours, prints and sizes, a very fashion mix n match far away from the Topshop image.
Here's my favourite snapshots of the show.
Next fall, it'll be all about maxi-coats, pastel colours, sequins, silk, fur and leathery-plastic skirts.
I think this collection is, not only close to high fashion but can be also worn straight off the runway, that's a plus one for Unique.
Quite surprised also that Cara Delevingne opened the show. Isn't she overbooked?
(A surprise i found on the internet, Unique backstage Harlem Shake haha..)
